I'm Mila. I'm a polaroid artist and I shoot with vintage Polaroid cameras. 
My photography journey started when I was a child and was working on b&w prints with my father in our home darkroom. Later as a teen, I was shooting 35 mm point-and-shoot cameras. My interest in film photography never really went away, so I picked up the camera again in 2007, first taking pictures on a 35 mm, then exploring other alternative photography and moving to medium format.

Sometime in 2011 I discovered peel-apart polaroid and fell in love. Each polaroid is unique; to me, it's like magic - I feel like it creates another dimension. I love the unpredictable result, the color shifts, and how it works in different light and temperatures.
Mostly I shoot our Northen landscapes hoping to catch how beautiful our home is and create in a viewer a sense of connection and belonging to this incredible planet. My art is about love, peace, and care.

I also love experimental photography - polaroid offers so many possibilities to create. And I love using my fails to create something else.

Polaroid art is my meditation, my way to connect to nature and to people, and it makes me very, very happy.
